Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Large trusses of dark purple, frilled flowers with an even darker purple eye. Stamen tips are white to provide even more contrast. Olive-green leaves are held upright making it easier to see down the throats of the flowers.
Here is a purple that is hardy to all but the most severe climates. The large trusses are deep purple with a deeper purple eye. It shows the influence of 'Purple Splendour', but it gained the hardiness from 'America'. The foliage is a matte olive-green, and the leaves are held in an upright position, making a vigorous looking plant. If you are a purple lover, you'll like this one. ('America' x 'Purple Splendour')
