Beautiful streaks of red, yellow, and cream appear irregularly on the lovely variegated foliage of this superb ornamental native. The leaves are an added attraction to this fantastic evergreen shrub with its pendulous white flower clusters, dark blue berries and gracefully arching branches. This specimen will reach 5' tall and somewhat wider, spreading to 6'; a wonderful way to brighten up a shady corner. PSh/M
This 5’-6’ shrub has 3” long leaves splashed with golden yellow and pink. The stems are deep purple red. Flowers are white racemes similar to Pieris japonica. Our plant grows in full sun, but probably best in the shade.
Elegant, arching, evergreen shrub, slow growing to 5' tall and 6' wide for part to full shade. Foliage is splashed with pink and cream and flushes burgundy in winter. Very at home in the woodland with drooping clusters of white flowers (nice in arrangements) in spring that age to dark blue berries. Rich, well-drained soil and regular dry season water.
This evergreen shrub is a slow grower that reaches a height of 5 feet tall and 6 feet wide. Attractive choice to pair with rhododendrons. This woodland native thrives in full to partial shade, but will tolerate sun if soil is not dry. Blooms in late spring. The dark green leaves are mottled with splashes of pink and cream. While pruning is not mandatory, it will readily accept being shaped. Growth Rate slow
An elegant arching Pieris relative, this elaborately variegated cultivar originated at the famed British nursery, Hillier's as a chance seedling, while the species, first introduced in 1793, hails from the southeastern U.S. Living up to its name, 'Rainbow' celebrates a carousel of color: pinkish copper-hued new growth, rosy red stems and long leathery pointed evergreen leaves, which are irregularly streaked, speckled and mottled in green, cream and ivory. Bell-style crisp white flowers held by drooping clusters, blue berries and plum-colored wintertime foliage are the icing on the cake. Appreciative of regular watering and well-drained organic-rich acidic soil, the deer resistant Fetterbush makes a stunning focal point or mass planting, embellishing mixed borders, house foundations, hedges and even cut arrangements.
Arching, red stems with mottled leaves. white flowers. Good hedge Evergreen. Deer resistant, Zones 5-9.
A beautiful gracefully arching form of Leucothoe with colorful, mottle leaves. Drooping clusters of white blooms are very showy. Not used enough, they make great cut flowers. Offers visual relief in foundation planting that have too much solid green foliage.

Choice American native Ericaceae - mostly about foliage: evergreen leaves infused with crimson when new, pick up splashes of cream, green & pink later on. Long chains of white spring flowers followed by blue berries. Arching habit to 3'. Half sun & normal water seems best. Can be 'hedged' by control freaks. Frost hardy in USDA zone 4.
Beautiful tricolor new growth of white, pink, and copper makes 'Rainbow' an outstanding choice for a shady corner. The colors fade somewhat, but not entirely, as the season progresses, to be replaced by plum-purple color in winter. Graceful arching habit.
Ericaceae, green, cream, and pink variegated foliage.
