Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Exotic cormous perennial from Mexico, flowers are large (3-6") for the 18-20" stems. For a hot sunny spot with good drainage, moist to dryish. Blooms mid to late summer for several weeks, each flower lasting only a day. Corms offset and clumps get bigger
Zn 9. Bright 3-petaled flowers with spotted center
Wildly colorful spotted propeller shaped flowers are best appreciated up close. Blooms last a day, but more follow in succession.
Beautiful irid widespread in Mexico, these high elevation collections produce 4” flowers of orange to dark yellow. Loves most garden conditions provided some summer water where dry. Will go happily winter dormant in the 20s °F but resprouts again in spring, especially if mulched….even lower, to 10 °F, USDA zone 8, with more mulch… but there has to be a limit… Sun to dappled shade, spreading freely into attractive clumps. Good in containers.
