Nursery contributed plant descriptions

One of the most unusual and graceful of the Sarcococcas, this 4 to 5' shrub of equal spread possesses arching branches and long, yes, willow-like leaves of shiny light green, appearing very much like bamboo as well. The particularly fragrant flowers are most abundant in fall into early winter and are a creamy green-yellow melding beautifully with the shiny leaves. Light dappled shade to full shade -- ok in sun in coastal climates -- with reasonable summer water and fertile to average soil. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8, though a form exists in the JC Raulston Arboretum in USDA zone 7 in North Carolina suffering only occasional damage.
