Lemon Beauty' is a honeysuckle variety that looks and behaves more like a golden boxwood. Plants grow to about three or four feet tall but are often pruned to about two feet tall. The evergreen leaves are gorgeous and transition through several colors throughout the year. The have a bright lemon yellow in the winter with more pronounced variegation followed by lime-yellow new growth in the spring. Through the hottest part of the summer the golden part of the leaves turn almost white and the green becomes gold, by fall the leaves fade back to lemon yellow variegated against green.

Lemon Beauty Box Honeysuckle is best suited for low borders but we have found its best use is being planted around larger blue-tinted evergreens like Colorado Blue Spruce or blue pine varieties. Some gardeners also use this plant as a hedge by pruning the sides to create a plant that grows up to about six feet tall.

If you are going to commit a horticultural faux pas, you might as well do it with this. Evergreen shrub, to 4-6 ft with tiny green leaves edged yellow, remaining so in a bit of shade; variegation becomes less distinct, more overall yellow, in brightest light. ???Lemon Beauty?? makes a very nice low hedge. As a single plant, it shines. Sun to part shade with normal water. Frost hardy in USDA zone 6.
