    Nursery contributed plant descriptions

New and unusual evergreen shrub, a Japanese selection with shiny, dark green leaves, narrow, curved, and slightly twisted with a ridge along the midrib, creating a striking and irregular texture. Becomes graceful with age as, eventually, a handsome, small tree for sun to part shade with regular summer water. A good container plant. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
