Evergreen, climbing hydrangea blooming from June to September with lovely white lace-caps that bees and butterflies love. The shiny foliage brightens up any partly shady or shady spot. Rich soil and average summer moisture is best. Can reach 10 ft or more but is easily pruned in autumn or early spring. Though self-clinging, outreaching branches can break so some support is required. Very frost hardy to 10F, USDA zone 8.
Rare and beautiful, the reddish hairy stems of this large vine are clothed with pairs of glossy pointed leaves, aerial climbing roots and, when established, with pretty clusters of white flowers in late summer. PSh/M
This rare species of climbing hydrangea from Taiwan and the Philippines has dark green evergreen foliage. It is well-established in the UBC Botanical Garden and profiled in their book The Jade Garden. The new spring shoots and leaves are often coloured spectacularly in purple and scarlet red. The flowers appear in June as golf ball-sized white clusters that create a polka-dot appearance against the dark foliage. Water well until established, especially if planted at the base of a tree.
Hailing from the Philippines and Taiwan, this climbing evergreen Hydrangea is seldom seen in cultivation. Rambling, red-hued, hairy stems sport pairs of lustrous elongated leaves, which are so exquisite, it's easy to wait for the vine to establish itself and produce its intriguing rounded buds and pretty lacy white flowers. A stellar choice for a mild maritime climate or a sheltered wall. Large Band.
Difficult to find in the trade (well unless you're on our site) but worth finding. An elegant, graceful clinging vine that's wonderful all year round. New growth emerges bronzy, contrasting with the older green leaves. Huge rounded flower buds open to white blooms reminiscent of lacecap hydrangeas. Vigorous so needs good support but clings by aerial rootlets so will cling to walls, especially ugly ones! One of the few vines that will bloom well in the shade. A 'Great Plant Pick'

We're happy to offer you this wonderful, evergreen vine bearing tight mounded heads of white flowers in summer. The leaves are long, shiny and green. The plant prefers to be grown in partial shade and loves maritime locations where it will grow to 50'. A fantastic specimen if you have the space!
