This small grower is very attractive year round. The deep green leaves have a slight white margin. We keep our agaves in terra cotta pots under an east facing eave. If it gets below 15° we move them to an unheated garage.

This clonal selection of Agave victoriae-reginae from Yucca Do Nursery features very thick compact green leaves with white leaf edges. This selection from Yucca Do Nursery has indeed white-tipped, porcupine quill-like leaves with gentle patterning on a symmetric plant (think of the shape of artichokes), making it a more dazzling creature than the typical Agave victoriae-reginae. Slow growing but worth the wait. Bright light, good drainage, and, preferably, protection from winter wet. Frost hardy to below 10 to 15 °F, USDA zone 8, depending on moisture.
