A new Cistus introduction. Found near the Barnhard Trail in central Arizona, where diversity among the species is common. This form had the unusual habit of sending out colonies of young plants, each a rather pale, jaw-dropping, almost celadon blue. Given the habitat and this plant's situation in a northern aspect, we expect tolerance for anything we throw at it and others of its ilk. To about 5' x 5' with narrow, banded leaves. Prefers decent drainage, as one would expect, and winter drought. Happy with fairly generous summer water to push it along. Frost hardy, we believe, to between 0 and 10 °F, USDA zone 7, and possibly tougher.
