AKA Rhynchospermum jasminoides A somewhat slow growing evergreen short vine but so heavily scented that the blooms in July/August make it worth the wait! Not particularly hardy, it's needs a warm sunny location in colder areas. No idea why it's call Confederate Jasmine, since it comes, not from the South, but Asia! It has many star-shaped, creamy-white blooms with a strong, sweet fragrance. Overwinters inside in a COOL greenhouse or sunroom. Let dry between watering. Used as a ground cover.

A beautiful twining vine or a lush ground cover, this evergreen jasmine can grow up to 20'. The lustrous dark green leaves make a striking background for the deliciously fragrant, small white flowers borne in slender cymes from May through June. Pruning is required each year to keep the vine under control. This adaptable vine can grow in full sun or partial shade but prefers fertile and well drained soils.
