Cormous perennial that sends up strappy foliage in spring that is dormant by summer with naked blooms in fall – clusters of honey scented, funnel-shaped shaped, purpled-rose, faintly checkered flowers with bright yellow stamens 4-6” tall, mid-late Oct. Good naturalizer. Thrives in sun in well-drained soil, appreciates moisture during growth and bloom periods, fine with dry during summer dormancy. Deer/critter resistant. All parts are toxic.
