Cormous, naturalizing perennial that sends up strappy foliage in spring that is dormant by summer with naked blooms in fall – cup shaped on short stems with wide petals shaded in lilac-pink striations with golden anthers mid to late September. Thrives in sun in well-drained soil, appreciates moisture during growth and bloom periods, fine with dry during summer dormancy. Deer/critter resistant. All parts are toxic.
