Vigorous cormous perennial that sends up strappy foliage in spring that is dormant by summer with naked blooms in fall – goblet shaped (reminiscent of giant Crocus) 4-6” high x 3-4” wide with deep lilac petals, yellow anthers and purple floral tubes, mid-Sept>early Oct, one of the best! Thrives in sun in well-drained soil, appreciates moisture during growth and bloom periods, fine with dry during summer dormancy. Deer/critter resistant. All parts are toxic.
