One of the most beautiful upland shrubs of the south west, this evergreen reaches an eventual 5 to 6 ft. in height and width adorned with 1-2 inch compound leaves a dazzling blue-green tinted purple in cold weather. Rather slow growing. Best in sun, well drained soil and occasional summer water. Don't forget the cheery yellow flowers in early spring followed by purple/blue fruit. USDA zone 4.
