Agave celsii albicans x attenuata 'Blue Haze' is an evergreen cactus / succulent with blue and green foliage. Features glaucous texture. Grows well with sun and low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in gritty, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant.
The Platinum Agave, also known as Agave guiengola "Platinum", is a striking succulent native to Mexico and Central America. It features a symmetrical rosette with smooth, blue-green leaves adorned with silver margins edged in creamy white and short, dark teeth along the margins. Slow-growing and evergreen, it reaches a mature height of 2-3 feet tall and 3-6 feet wide. This tough and drought-tolerant plant prefers full sun exposure and well-drained soil, thriving in USDA hardiness zones 9a to 11. It blooms once at maturity with white flowers and is suitable for sunny, dry gardens, xeriscaping, and container cultivation. While deer-resistant, it requires protection from freezing temperatures due to its sensitivity to frost. Overall, the Platinum Agave adds elegance, drama, and texture to landscapes, making it an excellent choice for ornamental purposes.
