An exceptional plant for foliage, in fact probably one of the finest in the Genus Rhododendron. The leaves are deep glossy green and the underside of the foliage is covered with woolly fur called indumentum. The indumentum starts out white on the new foliage and eventually turns a delightful cinnamon brown. Large pink flowers with lighter pink centers cover the beautiful foliage each spring.
