Cultivar of a South African native perennial bulb, this one with bright pink, “pineapple”-like flowers on 2 foot mahogany stalks in August - September. Long, narrow tropical looking leaves form robust 2 ft. clumps in time. Best in full sun to part shade, in rich well drained soil and summer water where dry. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7; lower with mulch. Avoid overly wet winter soils.
