Exotic cormous perennial from Mexico, pink flowers are large (3-6”) for the 18-20” stems. For a hot sunny spot with good drainage, moist to dryish. Blooms mid to late summer for several weeks, each flower lasting only a day. Corms offset and clumps get bigger every year. Planting among other plants and low growing shrubs helps support to the somewhat wimpy stems. Drought tolerant,deer and rabbit resistant. Also performs well in pots.
