Philadelphus pekinensis is a broadleaf deciduous shrub with green foliage. In spring white flowers emerge. Attracts bees and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular water. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil.
"Those who prefer their Mock Oranges with a more delicate perfume should give this [pretty compact 4-6' shrub with its large creamy-white flowers all along the stems] pride of place" (Genders). S/M
