Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Wonderfully crisp and juicy with excellent flavor, this beautiful large apple is yellow mottled with red. This cultivar was bred for extra hardiness by the University of Minnesota. September ripe apples are great fresh or stored (for 7 months!) and they have received rave reviews from one and all. A pollinizer is required, 'Gala', 'Granny Smith' and 'Red Delicious' are good choices; 800-1,000 chill hours required. S/M PP7197
