Oblong leaves are deep green, covered with cinnamon indumentum. New foliage has white tomentum which gradually turns into shades of tan. Bell-shaped flowers are white, faintly tinged rose.
Has amazing rusty hairs on dark green leaves. This rhododendron is grown primarily for its handsome foliage. The flowers are soft pink to white in April - May.
