Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A tightly clump forming perennial, Eared Goldenrod produces loose arching arrays of bright yellow flowers in summer atop sturdy stems. An unusual and uncommon native found growing along stream sides and woodlands that is most common in western Louisiana and eastern Texas but is also found in much of the southeast as well. Shade tolerant, clump forming and it attracts a variety of pollinators when in flower. Eared Goldenrod should make a nice addition to an informal perennial or woodland garden where its summer flowers will add a touch of sunshine to the landscape.
