Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Light yellow buds open to display large fragrant white flowers with a golden yellow blotch, or butterfly guide, on the uppermost petals that are flanked by white petals touched with deep pink. Aromi's Touch of Pink Deciduous Azalea flowers before and as the new foliage is open and the nectar rich flowers attract butterfly pollinators. Provide these native Rhododendron hybrids with a well-drained, average moist, acidic soil rich in organic matter and an organic mulch. Midday to afternoon shade is preferred in areas with hot summer climates. In the garden, Aromi Hybrid Deciduous Azaleas have the look, feel, and fragrance of many of our US native deciduous azaleas, sometimes called Bush Honeysuckles, and yet are easy enough for the average gardener to be successful with.
