Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A SUPER EASY to grow variety, with tender and tasty leaves. oh, and it’s gorgeous, too! With long, curled, glossy, emerald leaves that grow into 18” tall by 8” wide clusters. Produces an abundant yield and it’s not just delicious (spinach haters have been won over by the flavor) it’s also absolutely JAM-PACKED with healthy goodness! Harvest young or at peak maturity. You’ll never run out of ways to eat it - be it raw, steamed, juiced, sauteed, on its own or as a healthy addition to nearly any dish! It’s a perfect candidate for a container or window box! Plant in spring, then again in late summer for continuous harvest. Where winters are mild, like in our own Bay Area, you can even plant in Fall for an early spring crop! Provide some shade and regular water in HOT summer gardens to avoid bolting.
