Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Marvelously floriferous, long blooming & SO intensely scarlet, this rare poppy comes to us from a generous visitor who collected the seed near the Sanctuary of Apollo on the Greek Island of Delos, the legendary birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. A beautiful poppy I am enamored with, it’ll reach 30” tall & 20” across, its single 3” flowers swaying enticingly above pretty finely-cut ferny foliage. Set your Spring garden aglow & kindle a touch of the sacred! Doesn’t need staking & self-sows. Self sown seedlings or “volunteers” can survive on only Winter rain. Rich, loamy soil for best show.
