Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This sweet, shamrock-like beauty actually hails from Brazil! First introduced into cultivation in 1829 (almost 200 years ago!), it features oodles of dainty, hot-pinkish-red flowers from early spring right thru late summer. Leathery, shiny, green leaves form a tidy, mostly well-mannered clump that combines handsomely with ferns. While SOME Oxalis can be invasive this one hasn’t run amok in our test gardens, but please plant in a pot (1 gal+) if you are concerned about it naturalizing. Provide good drainage and reduce irrigation during dormancy.
