Bergenia cv (ciliata?) is a broadleaf evergreen perennial groundcover with green foliage. In spring white flowers emerge. Features glossy texture. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with bright shade - shade and even moisture - occasional water. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil.
We suspect this Bergenia has B. ciliata in it's heritage, but we acquired it by an invalid name and are holding off declaring an official name untilwe are certain. It is distinctive for its amazing display of white flowers on red tinted stems in early spring. Rounded green foliage has tiny eyelash-like hairs on the edges.
