A very cool century plant, wavy grey-green leaves with a broad band of cream and narrowly-spaced rubbery teeth along each leaf edge. Compact to only 2 to 3 ft wide and tall makes it ideal as a container subject or patio plant. Golden orange flowers when it eventually blooms after 15 or 20 years. Full sun to light shade and fast drainage. Able to withstand light frosts particularly if dry. Drought tolerant but grows faster with infrequent deep summer irrigation. USDA zone 9, protect from hard frosts.
