Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Tulipa biflora is a striking star-like tulip with crisp, pure white, pointed petals and a greenish yellow centre. Flowers are produced 2-5 per reddish stem atop bluish foliage edged with red. Botanical tulips are miniature to small in size and not far removed from their wild ancestors. They are strongly perennial and will naturalize when happy unlike the large Dutch hybrids which are often treated as annuals or which fail after a couple years.
