Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This name is not in the literature, but I got it many years ago from Ed Carmen, a plant collector/nurseryman extraordinaire. It is a compact shrub for us at 2-3’ with golden foliage and typical pink Lavatera flowers in summer. It grows even in clay soils and enjoys being more or less dry with best leaf color and bloom in full sun. Longer lived than most in this species, it also will politely reseed and 99% of the babies are just like mom. A golden treasure!
