Athyrium filix femina 'Rotstiel Grandiceps' is an attractive variety of the Lady Fern diplaying reddish stems and heavily crested fronds on mature plants. Very easy to grow, deer resistant and striking fern. Ferns thrive in neutral to acidic, loose, richly organic soil. Excellent for mass plantings, rock gardens, containers, in woodlands and naturalized landscapes.
Broad, medium green fronds covered with fingered crests at end of each tip. Plant in low sun to full shade in moist, well drained soil. 18-45 inches tall. Zones 4 to 8. Deciduous.
