Agave isthmensis is a small colony-forming species that hails from the isthmus of Tehuantepec in Oaxaca and Chiapas, Mexico. It forms amazing, greyish blue rosettes of foliage with rippled edges that looks like molten wax.

Compact and resilient, Agave Isthmensis is a petite succulent boasting rosettes up to 1? in size. Its powder-gray-blue leaves, measuring 4 to 5 inches in length and 2 to 3 inches in width, feature a subtly textured surface. Agave isthmensis is a smaller, compact Agave displaying short, broad, blue-grey leaves with prominent teeth and spine. Forms a colony by basal offshoots. This is an easy care, drought tolerant plant that is great in landscapes and containers or can adapt as a houseplant. Provide a well drained soil away from reflected heat. Once established, water infrequently during the hot season.
Tiny, dwarf agave that resembles a tiny Agave parryi (artichoke agave) with nice, blue leaves. Creates offsets but each rosette doesn't get much bigger than 3-4" across.
