Nursery contributed plant descriptions

R. ‘WINE AND ROSES’ - is one of the great foliage plants we grow. The indumentum is vibrant purple pink. Even if it never bloomed it would be wonderful, but it has rose red flowers in spring.
Bright pink flower clusters appear in April nestled among dark green foliage. The attractiveness of this cultivar though is the undersides of the leaves. Held upright when new to reveal purple-red that holds even as the leaves mature. If you're so lucky to have an elevated area this would be a choice location to view the undersides as you're passing. Still new in this country as it was first selected and grown at Glendoick Gardens in Scotland.
