Nursery contributed plant descriptions

(PPAF) - When I first saw this plant it was immediate lust. In full sun the foliage is so dark purple it's black. The flowers are stunning against the dark foliage. When grown in shade the foliage is more purplish.
Deep-dark-purple foliage contrasts beautifully with the fragrant, bright-white, spring-blooming bell flowers which are held on lovely maroon stems; this small tree (15 x 15?) will reward you with a second bloom in fall if given adequate moisture. A delightful specimen tree; full sun is required in order to get the best color. S/M
A slow-growing Japanese Snowbell with dark, purplish foliage and stunning white blooms.
Deep purple-green to maroon foliage on this Styrax displays to particular advantage its bevy of abundant, clear white, fragrant, and pendent bell flowers. Very pretty! Compact habit; 12'x12'; deciduous; deer-resistant. Minimum temperature: -20?F
The most notable characteristic of this selection from the species is the glossy purple foliage throughout the growing season. In shadier areas the purple may fade to dark green. The small clusters of white, bell-shaped flowers open in June and really provide a great contrast against the dark leaves.
Deep purple foliage makes this selection of Snowbell unique. White fragrant bell shaped blooms appear in June. Growth Rate slow to medium
