Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A weeping variety of Japanese Snowbell that has gracefully drooping branches and fragrant, white blooms in spring.
We have had Styrax japonica 'Carillon' for many years and it's a beautiful small tree. The only problem is our 30-year old plant is 12' X 12'. So it takes up a lot of room in a small garden, however beautiful it is. This excellent plant will grow upright with a terminal leader; but all the stems are strongly weeping. We have seen trees that are less then 2' wide. The flowers are the typical white stars in May and June. We only have a small supply available.
Small deciduous tree with a dense, weeping habit. Lush dark green foliage is covered in fragrant white flowers in late spring. Leaves change to yellow in the fall. Great for a small garden area. Growth Rate slow to medium
