    Electric Blue Gecko reaches 2 - 3' and grows in a clump. Each leaf is extremely dark black to metallic blue, and even sometimes purple, depending on the lights' reflection. The undersides of the leaves are dark maroon. Prefers sun to partial shade. This is a spectacular new var. Get them while they are here. Elephant Ear varieties are hardy in zones 7-10 as perennials and suitable in zones 4-6 as annuals. They are popular as annuals due to their rapid growth - colocasia makes a dramatic impact to the landscape within just one season.

    If you're looking for the darkest leaves on any colocasia, 'Electric Blue Gecko' is sure to impress you. The dark black leaves have a blue metallic overlay and they seem to change color depending on the light; at times they may look black, dark purple or metallic blue. The undersides of the leaves have a hint of burgundy and the leaf stems are jet black. 'Electric Blue Gecko' is a great addition to containers or garden beds with its contrasting color against most flowering annuals. It reaches a modest height of about 3' tall.
