?Triangularis??a perfect description for the burgundy-red! leaves of this ground cover each of which is made up of 3 (tri) deltoid triangles!; unique and eye-catching especially when topped with lavender-pink flowers. S-PSh/M
Zn 6. Deep purple foliage. Pink flowers.
We happened upon this plant years ago and have used it every season since. It adds a rich shot of purple courtesy of the fun, triangular leaves. The flowers are small, pale pink and plentiful. And triangularis is tough; it's come back from crushing hail (poor things had to start over), drought (what do you mean you forgot to water my plants while I was in Yellowstone?) and winds that knocked the tomato plants flat. Trust us, once you go here, there's no coming back. Why Grow Purple Oxalis/Shamrocks? Oxalis are some of the easiest plants to grow Fabulous purple foliage looks great all season Lucky shamrocks . . . who doesn't need more luck? Oxalis are easy care and easy to plant. To get them going, just poke the funny looking little bulbs 1" into the soil. Add a little water. You're done.

A striking bulbous shamrock native to Brazil with distinctive purple black foliage and wispy white/pink flowers. Great in mixed containers or by itself. A good plant to blend into the perennial border or woodland garden but better in pots where they can be overwintered in a cool garage or other protected and drier location. Hardy almost to zone 6.
Plant this one in light shade to prevent the purple from fading out of the leaves. Lush purple leaves and dainty pale pink flowers. Clump forming 8" x 8"
A striking purple shamrock with distinctive fan shaped 2" purple black foliage and wispy white/pink flowers. Little bulbous offsets are produced freely and are fun to lift and tuck in spots around the garden or to use in containers where you need dark contrast. Plants need good drainage to winter over in zones 7-8.
