Strappy, pointed leaves emerge a bright coppery gold in spring causing quick breath intakes followed by ‘waz that’ from garden visitors...aging to green-gold in summer. Perennial clumps are a compact 15” tall and 18” wide, with upright ruffle edged foliage (no flop); typical pineapple lily flowers in summer are creamy white. Sun to part shade, water when dry, easy... also nice in a pot.
