    Pachypodium lamerei is a deciduous or evergreen cactus / succulent with green foliage. In spring white and yellow flowers emerge. Grows well with sun - bright shade and occasional - low water.     A large growing Pachypodium species, aka the Madagascar Palm. (They are not palms; they are pachycaul (thick trunked) trees from Madagascar. White flowers emerge at the top growth with glossy, green, oval leaves. Deciduous, drops leaves in winter. Can get up to 20 feet tall and just as wide, but takes a long time.

    Not really a palm, but this beautiful plant with it's thick, thorny trunk and top-knot of leaves resembles a small palm tree. A durable small tree indoors or out. I'm pretty sure Heathcliff wouldn't eat this one.
