Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Crinkled mounds of stiff, ferny foliage stay low and tight on this sculpture-quality Astilbe; mounds are punctuated by 8-10” early-summer spikes of pink. Spikes dry nicely on plant and add late season interest. Neat and tidy little wonder plant, for sun to part shade, in moist garden soils. Deer and rabbit resistant. A show off in a pot. Needs to be situated front and center so it is not overlooked and lovely in groupings.
A. ‘PERKEO’ - is a 6”astilbe with deep green leaves and rich pink narrow flowers in May-June.
Recently we're appreciating dainty pink in the garden, and this delightful 'Perkeo' charms with 8-10” pink spires rising above eye-catching crinkly dark green foliage in mid-late summer. Although 'Perkeo' is most luxuriant in moist soils, she will tolerate drier soil in shadier spots and nearly full sun in cooler summer areas. Useful in the front of a bed or in shady containers for.foliage contrast. Deer resistant and hardy!
It's the perfect small Astilbe for a container on a shaded porch or placed at the front of the shade border. 'Perkeo' grows in a small mound between 8" and 10" tall with finely dissected deep green foliage and newgrowth emerging with a reddish-bronze cast. Pink plumes bloom June - August. AGM winner! Minimum temperature: -30°F
Lustrous, heavily divided crinkly foliage that sculpts an impeccable small-sized mound sets this AGM winner apart from other Astilbes. Grounded by compact, low growing dark green leaves and reddish henna-suffused young growth, short stiff upright stems unfurl attractive pyramidal spires of miniature deep rosy pink flowers. Enduring drier soil in shady spots and nearly full sun in cool summer regions, 'Perkeo' can enrich the front lines of a border, a shady rock garden or patio container.
Dense congested foliage especially beautiful in spring as the new growth is a reddish bronze. Stout full flower spikes of a good pink stay under a foot tall. This received the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society so you know its good!
