Nursery contributed plant descriptions

From Longwood Gardens, PA. This larger grower blooms with light yellow flowers. The plants flower 2 weeks later than most corylopsis.
An outstanding selection of Winterhazel which produces its superb, fragrant, large, pendulous, soft-yellow flowers clusters two-weeks later than other varieties (allowing them to miss late frosts). The blooms are an especially lovely sight as they appear on the bare-branches of this 8' tall and wide spreading (to 15') shrub. Makes a beautiful understory plant; seed for this selection was collected in Kyushu, Japan for the US National Arboretum and this exceptional seedling was one of three that was given to Longwood Gardens.
