Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This low growing H. serrata has lots of fertile flowers so the flower head has a soft hazy look. Our plants are 18" tall and 36" across. Fall foliage color is glorious purple.
This compact lacecap Hydrangea deserves center stage, where its broad, light blue flowers and dense green foliage can create a colorful splash. Handsome and verdant, the glossy leaves, which are narrower than those of the species, display a tasty reddish plum hue in late summer and fall. A drift of 'Blue Billow' is irresistible next to Philadelphus 'Innocence', while golden-leafed Hakonechloa skirts below.
This recently introduced hydrangea is small growing with an abundance of blue lacecap flowers. Smaller growing than Blue Wave. 3? in ten years. Awards: Gold Medal from Pennsylvania Horticulural Society. Recommended by: Garden Clubs of America.

Add dazzle to your garden. The garden gets exciting with this hydrangea and its large light blue lacecap heads on long stems. Blue Billow is very free-flowering in filtered shade or wooded areas. Strong stems with coarse colorful leaves make it a stunning addition to your shady garden. It is one of the hardiest and compact growing of the Serratas with fantastic fall color. We believe that this hydrangea originally came from the Dupont family gardens in Philadelphia.
The deep-silvery-blue flowers of this compact 4 footer are more "bud-hardy" than most lace-caps, extending their range!!; a fine new variety found by Dr R.Lighty on an island off Korea. Sun-PSh/Med(not dry)/color by pH
Blue flowers fade to burgundy, new leaves reddish. Fall color red-burgundy. Regular water. Zones 6-9
Clear blue flowers in early summer, clean foliage all summer, and even fall color! The serratas, including this one, are more sun and drought tolerant.
