Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Goldmound Spirea is one of the most brightly colored plants in the garden, with the golden leaves and pink flowers. It is best paired with dark colored plants, such as Red Japanese Maple varieties and many purple or red leafed Coral Bells (Heuchera). Blue colored plants, like Blue Rug Juniper or blue Hosta varieties also accent this plant very well.
Plants look their best when pruned back into a formal, round shape during the winter but are naturally compact so will still look fantastic without pruning. This is also a good choice for growing in containers, and can be shaped easily.
A very disease resistant plant that is very easy to grow. Medium water, will grow in hard soils.
An easy care dwarf shrub with brilliant chartreuse foliage and showy pink flowers.
Compact, deciduous shrub with golden-yellow foliage that fades to yellow-green throughout the summer. Foliage is attractive as it fades, though, and is still predominantly yellow. Fall time brings an orangish-red color to the leaves before they fall. Pink flowers cover the shrub in late spring. Growth Rate medium
