This exceptional mophead has pink/blue flowers with each petal edged in white...eye-catching! (late season flowers may not be variegated); a handsome plant. S-PSh/M (not dry) acid-blue, alkaline-pink.
Harlequin Hydrangea has very light colored petals with darker interiors and looks especially good up close where the contrasting colors can be appreciated. The colored portions of the petals can be changed to either dark pink or bright blue depending on the pH of the soil. Make the soil more acidic to bring out blue or neutral to slightly basic for pinker tones. On this variety, the color of the interior blush is less important and I usually just let this plant do its thing because both pink and blue are just as beautiful.
Sent from the angel's above. This hydrangea is a must for all collectors or those that need just one. The blooms are two colors of vibrant pink to purple with white borders - just like an angel's halo. We love this unusual and eye-catching specimen and we barely grow enough for the demand. The bloom is very tender and does not do well in any afternoon sun. Plant this in a container or as a focal point in any garden.
A very unusual hydrangea with sterile flowers that are bi-colored, have deep rose centers with cream colored edges which fade later to pistachio. This has an elegant mophead on a plant that is somewhat shorter. Vigorous growth on sturdy stems. Not quite as hardy as some.

Is a macrophylla selection with large deep pink flowers. The margins are light white-lavender. H. 'Harlequin' will make quite a display.
