Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Tall, shrubby tree to 20 ft with clusters of white April flowers followed by bronze new foliage in May, June fruit and fall colors of brilliant orange and red. Excellent when trimmed young to promote a multi-stemmed habit. Intolerant of summer heat, it does not do well even in the Midwest, so use the zone rating with caution if your summer days get often into the upper 90's.
