Violet Stem is one of the most versitile colocasia there is it thrives in full sun to 80% shade!!! Its Violet colored stems stand erect perching metallic green leaves on top 48" plants. Violet Stem Colocasia has a tidy clumping habit that is perfect for large containers. Quite unique and very beautiful.
Colocasia violet stem can often be confused with a few other forms of Colocasia. We have often seen big dipper and cranberry sold as violet stem. This Colocasia has dark green foliage with a dark maroon colored stem, the foliage is heart shaped and with slightly darker veins. It should make a great display in a tropical garden.
