Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Unusual agave, with 18-14" long, olive-green leaves, narrow and indeed, triangular (dagger-shaped), with a paler mid section. Small spines on the leaf margins, and an intimidating, 1" terminal spine, these stiff leaves radiating from the central rosette in an open, starburst pattern. Not known for blooming. Found in Mexico in both Puebla and Oaxaca, with little rainfall or winter frost, these are best in sun to part shade and good drainage with little summer water once established. A wonderful garden plant -- where spines won't hurt wandering friends -- where temperatures don't drop below 25 °F, mid USDA zone 9.
