Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Spider plant is another name by which this easy to grow, long blooming annual is known, named for the wide arching stamens and ripening seed pods that extend from the stems like a spiders legs. Flowering when quite small, new petals continue to form on top of the stems as the old petals fade and fall. Planted at the back of the border, the masses of bloom associate well with tall zinnias.
