    Nursery contributed plant descriptions

No seeds equals more flowers when it comes to the Cleome or Spiderflower and Clio™Magenta is no slacker when it comes to flower power! This durable sterile hybrid produces rounded clusters of spidery pinkish purple flowers from spring to fall on a very well branched, compact, sturdy, and spineless plant with rich green foliage. Great in the garden or in mixed containers. Attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. Clio™Magenta Cleome's sterility provides more flowers over a longer period. This is a moderately drought resistant annual once well-established but average moisture and good drainage will produce the greatest abundance of flowers. Compact enough for containers and sturdy enough for the garden provided it gets at least a half a day of sunlight.
