Lavandula 'Willow Vale' is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with blue foliage. In spring and summer lavender and purple flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and occasional - low water. Prefers to be dry in summer. Does well in well-drained soil.

Introduced by David Tristram of England, this vigorous Lavender is named for its wispy gray-green foliage, which creates a delicate veil over the strong, upright branches. The showy deep blue-violet flowers are crowned with a tuft of purple petal-like bracts, and bloom earlier than the intermedia varieties.

An extremely vigorous selection from England's David Tristam with a strong, upright branching habit and deep blue-violet flower spikes appearing from April to August. The flowers are subtended by rich purple bracts typical of the Spanish lavenders. 'Willow Vale' is similar in appearance to 'Otto Quast', but has proven to be a much stouter, more vigorous cultivar reaching 2-3' tall with an equal spread.
